Just checked on a HDR 1000S and 1010S, both timers have been set without issue.
Both timers were set from SD variants of channels in guide with HD option selected to record, therefore record icon annotated against HD variants of Channels in guide.

Just getting used to a new Humax 5000t 1 tb after using a 9150 for a few years.
I don’t know if it’s just my box but after selecting a different tv channel I can go back to the previous channel by pressing”back” but only if I do it within a short time , if I wait over 10 seconds or so pressing “ back button has no effect.
Is this normal?

Slow starting up

I believe accessing recordings shortly after boot sometimes results in zero contents initially, as the unit is ‘busy’ with all sorts of housekeeping eg populating the guide.

I suspect you have a YouView unit judging by the software versions you have reported so I’ll move this to correct area.
There area a couple of things you could try:
1. ‘Soft’ rest press the standby button on for aroun d 8 seconds unit should reboot…failing that a maintenance mode reest maybe required see:

Is both your boxes connected to your home network ? If so I will try viewing a SD recording made on my 5000T on a HDR-FOX-T2 tomorrow.
Streaming SD from a 4000 or 5000T to HDR T2 works.
