ModeratorWelcome to the Forum

No red button services available here on BBC HD channels thru Freeview HD TV so do not think it is a Humax issue.

ModeratorI only have series link timers set from the EPG and pressing OK on my 9200, the i7 prefix is annotated to numerous file names.

ModeratorHi Sorry forgot to reply.
My units are set up manually, but changed to DHCP to check this out, and yes same result as yourself.

ModeratorI have used both powered and unpowered successfully.
Western Digital Passport, and Seagate Freeagent, without power supplies.
Currently testing a Western Digital Elements 2TB powered drive.
Did have a Seagate Freeagent GoFlex powered 1TB connected for a while, that one tended to be noisy at times.

If your unit is in standby the next time the OTA is broadcast then it should update, or of course you can download the latest from Humax website and update via usb.
OTA dates are listed here, but none currently scheduled:

Latest Software for usb update can be downloaded from here:

‘Short’ recordings can be a symptom of being tuned to more then one transmitter.
As for the glitches in Escape, I do not record this programme but can sets some tests if no one else offers any advice.
I would have another word with Humax support.
Barry
ModeratorNo one will be checking at this hour no doubt, but the update is back on air 02:30
I am away til late afternoon, will try and get an update as to what went wrong then.
Barry
ModeratorThe latest report is that it is ‘playing out fine’ – but obviously there is something amiss somewhere, as update is still not found.
Barry
ModeratorReceived reports of the OTA no longer being transmitted, and that certainly appears to be the case when I checked.
Have managed to make contact with Humax Towers, they are as surprised as anyone, and are trying to find out why, although it might be to late to get any definite news tonight.
Update when I have any.
Barry
ModeratorOTA is on air.
For those unaware the whole OTA update process takes approx 25 minutes….YMMV
The software is now also available from the Usual Humax support site:
