Mine is USB powered as well. Mine is recording at present but will recheck when finished. I recall it flashing all the time.
Is the disk an AV model?
Ditto.
With buffer enabled LED flashes all time, disabled and it stops unless recording of course.
OP – You have to view a channel for a minute or so before the buffer becomes available for that channel.
Only suggestion is watch all recordings and reformat the HDD see if that fixes the problem for you.
Barry
ModeratorDo you have ‘Recording buffer’ enabled in recording menu?
Settings
General settings
Recording
Once enabled, pressing record should record from the start of the current programme – as long as content is buffered of course

As per my post #12 – Youtube is broken, Humax are aware.

The first thing to check is that you are only tuned to one transmitter see:
Barry
ModeratorHDMI CEC?
My Philips TV has a software bug that switches this on from time to time (even though I have disabled it) result is the HDR being put into standby when I switch TV off.
Barry
ModeratorFirst review I have seen:
They are wrong with the record 2 cannot watch a 3rd channel. as with all Humax DTT products you can depending on muxes being recorded.
Barry
ModeratorApologises for delay in response.
Only witnessed similar on a HDR T2 when playing a recording, and once that message came up it affected all live TV as well.
A power cycle cured the problem.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

Just recorded a couple of programmes on a 9150 and 9300 and they playback OK.
Try switching unit off at rear for 30 secs or so then on again.
Barry
ModeratorMy apologises Susan, I should have just tried it before (in my defence I am busy with other stuff) but Youtube appears to be broken via the 1800/2000T, and I suspect the HDR T2 as well but have not checked. I cannot get any stream to playback at all – will highlight to Humax Towers.
Barry
ModeratorSusan – Is it music videos that are causing you grief per chance? Can you post the name of a video you have tried to play.

No never worked for them but have worked in a similar industry for a major multi-national. It is just I do know what is required of a DLNA client.
The advertising you quoted is recent and is a little overstated, pity it has no links to the technical spec which is what they previously advertised.
My main interest in the units features would be for the DLNA server)
For someone who said “I’ve essentially given up on this box” you still seem to have a lot of input. In any case given our positions I don’t think anything would be gained by continuing this discussion.
I concur – and as the OP has now actually bought a unit, thread closed.

ModeratorI’ve already stated in post #2 that a fix has been engineered for the 2000T, however, as always, the engineers have been looking at ‘other stuff’ as well.
