InactiveHello, wonder if any one can help me. I recently purchased a HDR 2000T and brought a Humax dongle to connect to the internet. We’ve just gone over to BT infinity. We can connect up to the internet ok, and can watch BBC I player, Sport, News and link onto Wikipedia. We can also link up to You Tube, can search and the searched items come up. But they won’t play. It did at first, but no more. We only connected up on the 29th July so hasn’t been long. I’ve tried turning Hub off and the box leaving as advised by someone from Humax. Then turning back on, but to no avail. My speed is between 48-54 Mbps. Any ideas please.

Is it just YouTube you are having problems with or are all portal apps non functional now?

InactiveSorry been out most of the day. Yes it’s just You Tube. You can open up the apps and search , and searched items comes up. But they just won’t play. The loading circle just keeps going round.
My speed is at 54 Mbps it’s connected with a Humax dongle. Really baffled.

InactiveTried what the Humax advisor told me to do again ( turning the Box off, then turned off at the mains, then turning off Hub…). But still the same, ok am happy box is working perfectly. And it’s not the end of the world. However when you’ve got something there that won’t work it niggles.
The Humax advisor hasn’t got back to me like he promised.
So trying to sort out via here….any one any ideas please. X

InactiveIn this case it’s what Youtube is using to help remind it what you were up to previously and some other details about your set-up. If Its not there it will be reconstructed from scratch the next time you try to use Youtube.

ModeratorSusan – Is it music videos that are causing you grief per chance? Can you post the name of a video you have tried to play.

InactiveNo not tried music videos. A Lot of the Minecraft videos. Tony Benn, paradise Island Maldives. Tried lots of different ones. Someone from Humax has asked if I’ve changed the ports……but wouldn’t have a clue about how to start to check. He asked ” you will need to ensure that the following ports are opened on your router for the Humax box
Http:80
Http:8080
SSL 443
Not very technically minded.

InactiveDear Susan
If you have tried the reset, altered the port information and WiFi protocol and the issue persists then this indicates an issue with the broadband or YouTube.
Best Regards,
Robert
Last message I’ve just received from Humax customer services.

ModeratorMy apologises Susan, I should have just tried it before (in my defence I am busy with other stuff) but Youtube appears to be broken via the 1800/2000T, and I suspect the HDR T2 as well but have not checked. I cannot get any stream to playback at all – will highlight to Humax Towers.

InactiveHi,
I’m new to this forum. Looking for a fix for You-tube as I set up 2000T last night. All o/k , apart from You-tube which shows the player but has a timer spinning round and round.
Contacted customer support and they suggested (today) it was a You tube streaming problem ?
my set up is wi-fi dongle with BT infinity
