Is there a way of calling up the page showing the changes. My box has done the upgrade and the four page guide appeared but when I pressed the right arrow to read page 2 it disappeared.
No way except as a test I carried out a full system reset on one unit, this deletes everything, recordings, schedule, settings so probably not something you would want to consider.
However I did take some photo’s of the update pages (excuse the quality)

Note: Thread title changed to reflect this is now available to all.

ModeratorMy unit I leave on last public release software has also updated.
Trying to find out if roll out has commenced a week earlier then planned….more when I have it.
16:07 – Edit: Humax confirm public rollout has commenced – a little earlier then expected.

No problems for me everything seems to be working as it should, really good machine.
Ditto, and just tested retune without issues.
Barry
ModeratorJust going by the date that is the last public release software version.
New version due next week, wait and see if that improves matters, as there have been a lot of changes.
Barry
ModeratorI was going to wait until after the public roll out to mention this, but as you have asked…
Development is to continue…more detail after public update.
Of course anyone who wants to opt out at anytime only has to PM me and I’ll get unit removed from testing group.
Barry
ModeratorNew update now available
Release note:
• Font size 14%, 16% added
• Layout error fixed with bigger fonts
• Font change applied in Detail information page (key I)
• Bug fix : FTP server transfer failure of big recordings in slower network environment fixed.
• Top Picks > Continue Watching ordering is changed : by last watched.
• Recordings completely watched will come first in “To Be deleted” in Recording List. (To Be deleted list will appear if HDD is over 80% full)
Confirmed this is the last update before public release unless a show stopper is found.
Barry
ModeratorThere will be another update today, I’ll post release note when advised that it is available to you all.
This will probably be the last update as development freezes in readiness for public roll out next week.
Barry
ModeratorThere are now 50 members in the open group of testers.
Humax very pleased with the response, and thank all of you for your efforts.
I think that is enough for now, so no more testers needed for time being.

That screen is what phones display typically when a combination of buttons are used during startup, often volume up plus power on.
This could be a red herring but is it possible your remote had / has a button fault which was giving the symptoms of it looking like the box was not responding?
I don’t know what button combo on the Aura would bring up that system menu on the Aura (maybe the Devs could let us know?)
The FAQ’s are your friend
Barry
ModeratorFrom the user manual page 8
Remote Control Reset
To clear all the settings on the remote control, you can reset the remote control to the factory default settings.
1. Direct the remote control to your box.
2. Press the Power and RED buttons at the same time for 5 seconds until the red LED blinks three times. All the settings will be reset.
3. With the default settings, the remote control will operate in IR mode.
Note: I’ll add this to Aura FAQ’s – Done

My box doesn’t seem to want to update. I keep trying to update but it keeps saying that I have the latest software already.
You are not part of the beta group so you wont find new software.
Quote:Also, is this update in addition to the one due out on 19th or instead of?Neither, the public release currently planned for week 16 will include a lot of changes that have been tested in this and previous beta’s.
Not long before all owners will be updated – don’t envy the person who has to write the release note
