samkydd – I found it helps when you re apply power to touch and keep touching the channel down button until the update message appears on screen.

No Martin, just lucky perhaps… however I am trying to find if unit checks for software every few hours besides OTA time.
I have one unit on old software, and no sign of update on that as yet.
IP was enabled at 8am.
Anyone who is still having problems is encouraged to report it as per the latest from freesat that REPASSAC posted in #497 and repeated below..

Yes it is.
Software now available from Humax support site:

In addition IP download has also been enabled:
• The product will need to be left in Standby overnight
• The product will check at 4.30am for any software updates
• If connected to the Internet the download will be detected
• When the product is next switched on it will prompt the user to update.

Is this an official software update? I do not see any replies saying this fixed the problem.
It is official and would not have been made available via this forum without the approval of Humax.
Besides what Chris has posted.
Taking your finger off the channel down button before the updating message appears on TV screen and/or front LED flashes purple.
Could have swore blind the icons are explained on the page with the iplate description….don’t manual have to to hand presently.
Martin is of course correct.
Continue prompt is displayed only after a correct pin has been provided. There is then a small delay before itv player appears.
Otherwise the option is cancel or if wrong pin ‘incorrect PIN, please try again’

Does one loose one’s recording schedule and other settings when doing the update…? (ie does it finish with, in effect, a factory reset?)
