This has not worked for me. Tried two different usb sticks. unzipped file. Put on root of usb. Sometimes the invitation to copy media files appeared so usb sticks connecting.

But no sign of the updating. (need to have tv on and on the correct channel!)

Can this process be done via the internet connection? Will it become available over the air?

Either the format of your usb stick is wrong or you have not unzipped and put the file at root properly. Or you didn’t put the stick in before turning on at the mains, or you have multiple usb sticks plugged in..

    Besides what Chris has posted.

Taking your finger off the channel down button before the updating message appears on TV screen and/or front LED flashes purple.

Besides what Chris and Barry have posted.

Before powering back on make sure that all the power from the transformer has drained. A quick flick off and then on won’t be long enough.
