Had the same discussion with my wife who complained Doctors hadn’t been recorded and she tried to record it, but no series button was displayed.
Yes that is exactly the behaviour I am seeing.
I assume the broadcaster has mucked up the EPG data being sent on Freeview?
The error was broadcasting the replacement programmes when Doctors was temporarily suspended using the SCCRID for Doctors on something that wasn’t Doctors and then reusing them again with the actual Doctors episodes. The Aura is doing the right thing (as defined by the Freeview specification) by declining to record something that it thinks has already been recorded.

I have a Foxsat hd and setup Ray Reeedon brilliant firmware extension, to send emails amongst other great things.
But it no longer sends emails, just stopped after a few years.
The pushmail “Generate and Send” button does not send an email either.
As far as I know nothing has been heard from Raydon for more than 3 years and other people have taken over the work of keeping some of the packages in the Foxsat custom firmware up to date. The place where I see them posting is in the Foxsat custom firmware forum at hummy.tv https://hummy.tv/forum/forums/foxsat-hdr-customised-firmware.38/ You might try and ask your question there.

I need to use subtitles frequently, on BBC they are fine but on commercial programmes they keep going out of sync with the picture. Usually the subtitle is ahead of the picture. Does anyone had the same problem and is there a solution?
I would say everyone who tries to use subtitles on an HDR-1800T/2000T has the same problem which also affects the HDR-FOX T2. There are workarounds such as rewinding a few seconds which can get things back in synch for a while but the only real fix is to buy a more modern box; from my experience the FVP-4000T/5000T and the Aura have perfect subtitle handling and I have been told the same thing applies to the Humax Youview boxes.

My elderly father has just got a 5000T, and I was wondering if there is any way of adding the amazon prime video app? Or if you can’t add apps, can you plug an amazon fire stick into it?
As far as I know you can’t add apps to the 5000T neither can you plug a FireStick into the 5000T but if the TV has a spare HDMI port you could plug the Firestick into the TV. The later Humax Aura does have Amazon Prime Video but doesn’t have Netflix.

The recordings were made on this Aura. They are all HD encoded (SD I can use VLC). The HDD has not been formatted, but there has been resets to defaults when I was trying to solve the issue of the Aura starting on the Home Screen when coming out of Deep Standby. Why would this prevent me restoring files back to the Aura?
Let me be clear, we know nothing for certain. I could see it would be possible that the reset to defaults might clear and rebuild the database; but only experiments will determine if there is any truth in that.
Have you tried putting the recordings in say the Movies directory and playing them back with VLC?

I was under the impression that recordings made on the Aura and exported to say, a laptop, could be imported back to the Uploads folder whence they would subsequently reappear as recordings on the Aura.
Were the recordings made on the same Aura as you are trying to upload to? Has there been a reset to defaults or a hard drive format since downloading them? My suspicion is that unlike earlier Humax boxes where additional information for recordings are stored in sidecar files, the Aura is using a database to store the information and the problem with uploads is to do with whatever data is or is not in the database NB let me repeat this is only what I suspect without any actual proof.

Anyone have issues with the screen blinking? Picture of channel up for one second then goes black and continually does this. Any suggestions on how to fix? Have retuned, and unplugged.
Was it working previously or is this a new Aura or a new TV?

I brought a replacement remote control but still have the same issue the remote control will not turn the FVP5000T box on.
I have a BT YOUVIEW box and the remote control for the FVP5000T
box will turn the BT YOUVIEW box on.
Perhaps you had changed the remote control mode for the FVP so that it didn’t interfere with the Youview box, see this link for instructions https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/multi-code-function-fvp-remote

Update when recording which isn’t working these other tuners don’t show any signal either
If you have one recording going on then tuner 1 will be active, if you have two recordings going on and they are from different multiplexes eg BBC1 and ITV1 then two tuners will be active; with three recordings from three different multiplexes eg BBC1, ITV1 and QUEST you should see all 3 tuners active.

Nothing happens on the screen, when I go into the recording it looks like a broken film reel and when I select play it does nothing a part from a black screen – looks like it simply don’t record a thing
Just bought the device from eBay was almost new apparently
To me it seems highly likely to be a hard drive problem. If you have a right to return then I would suggest sending it back.

Sorry for simple question I’ve come from sky set up for last 20odd years. Have 3 tv into a f140 distribution box, I’ve added the above pvr but can’t seem to work out how to the distribute the ariel signal.
Are you hoping to distribute playback of recordings via the FVP aerial out socket? If so, I am afraid it won’t work as the output signal is just a pass through of the aerial input signal.

“The programme cannot be viewed via HDMI connection because your TV does not support digital content protection (HDCP).”
Is there a simple fix for this?
Try putting the Aura in standby, when you hear the hard drive stop spinning turn off the electrical power, wait 10 seconds and then restart the Aura and see if you have picture now.

Yes, I have the custom firmware.
Should I get wireless helper then too? Where would this show up or is it a background thing?
You would do better to ask these questions over at hhtps://hummy.tv where the real experts on the custom firmware are to be found.

It works!
Excellent.
I connected it using a cable and was able to fixed the “record loop” problem which was the reason I was doing all this.
It always helps if we are told exactly wat you are doing. Were you using the custom firmware to fix the problem? If so, I think you would need the wireless helper package for WiFI to work in maintenance mode.

New issue has developed over past 2 weeks …
When playing back recordings volume goes up and down … ok for a minute or two then louder (or quieter) for a minute or so then back again.
Old recordings are fine though.
I don’t think this is a commonly reported problem; interesting to hear if anybody else has the problem? Which channels are the recordings from?
