    Hi Guys,

Expected temperatures here (France) -12C overnight tonight, and below freezing day times. Expected to continue for at least a few days.

A friend told me that LNBs can freeze. So my question is, if they can freeze, how to stop or at what temp will they freeze.

    Nope

Typical operating temperature range -40 to +70C.

They actually work a little better when cold.

It went below that here last winter with no problems at all.

As far as I am aware it is the same LNB as that which SKY uses and our one at home (UK Midlands) survived Dec 2010 freeze with not even signs of problems whilst external sink / basin wastepipes froze for the first time I’d ever seen

They have satellite TV in Northern Canada and Alaska :-)

Snow build on the dish face or the lnb feed horn is entirely different.

In my case the dish is is 6ft above the ground, a broom is the high tech solution :-)
