My 2000T (essentially the same as 1800T) does the same. Neither my 5000T nor my TVs do. Therefore it is likely to be a problem with the 1800T/2000T. Incompatibility between what the BBC send out and what the 1800T decodes. Who’s responsibility? Don’t know. But neither organisation is likely to fix it.

Given that both of you have online access I am surprised you bother with it rather than use the BBC or Met Office web sites to have a look at what the weather is up to.

I only checked to see if I could repeat stevei-g’s observation. It did trigger a memory of problems I’ve had on one device – and it turned out to be the 2000T.

I usually get my weather online but very occasionally when the tech. isn’t switched on will use the BBC text on a TV. Pointless really it’s so accurate! Not!

I always apply my own wide confidence band to the forecast when deciding on how to dress for the day and plan what to do that day.
