From my understanding, both the FVP_4000t and FVP-5000t support Samba and allow the user to to watch recordings from other network devices. However, I cannot find any instructions on how to get them to talk to each other.
My issue is that my old 4000t is dying but has 250+ hours of unwatched recordings. Any help would be very gratefully received.
Ensure that the network server is enabled on the 4000T (Freeview button, Settings, Advanced Settings, Server Management). On your 5000T press the Freeview button, select Media, then Video and after a moment any servers on your network, including the 4000T should appear in the left hand panel. Select your 4000T server and the available videos should appear for watching.
