    Hi,

Yet another teething problem with my HDR-2000T.

I’ve entered the appropriate TV code to allow me to control my LG HDTV with the 2000T remote. We only watch TV exclusively via the HDR so should be able to control things with one box.

The issue I now have is that the volume control on the HDR2000T only works for the non-HD Channels. When watching HD, I have to control the volume by the TV remote (or by selecting TV on my box remote)

It’s not a major issue but annoying nonetheless.

I hoped I would have been able to control the volume with one remote regardles of which channel I’m watching

It’s not a fault, it’s down to the way your TV handles Dolby Digital audio used by the HD channels. The box can decode Dolby Digital to Stereo LPCM so the output is the same for HD and SD channels.

Menu – Preferences – Audio – Digital Audio Out – select Stereo

No genius I’m afraid :-), the solotion just been around a long time. It’s a well known quirk of Humax boxes since the first HD boxes.

You are welcome, someome else would have provided the same info, if they happened to read your post first.
