I use VLC player to watch videos located on a NAS. This part works absolutely fine, the only niggle is that the length of the file is always shown as 0:00 before playing.

After playing a file (for any length of time) for some unknown reason VLC changes the name from say S01E01 to somthing like mp4,pn=AVC_MP4_MP_HD_1080i_AAC,ext=.mp4 with a time (see photo). The file on the NAS is not renamed.

I have gone through all the settings in VLC and cannot find anything obvious to why VLC does this. Overnight deep standby does not change anything either.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make VLC keep the original file names?
