On my 1100s I am able to use my remote to have a favourite button for sky news and itv1 only as they are the ones I prefer to switch between, on the 5000T I can find a favourite button at all to do this on original remote. The 1100s used the RMC 10331 remote but as it conflicted between the two boxes I had to change frequency and can’t use it for the 5000T if you see what I mean.
Is there any way I can switch between favourites as I did before on the 1100s one?

I’m not sure exactly what you mean having never owned a 1100s, but you could create a ‘Favourites’ channel list selecting those two channels first. They would then be at the top next to each other and you could use the remote’s programme rocker switch to move easily between them.
