InactiveThere is no facility on the Aura for you to transfer recordings to a USB stick.
You can connect the Air to your PC and using an FTP client transfer recordings to the PC.
HD recordings are encrypted so can’t be played on any other device other than the Aura.

InactiveHD recordings can be converted to a lower quality on the Aura. The converted recording is not encrypted and can be transferred by FTP and viewed.

InactiveOK…. taking a slightly different approach then..
If you can record a TV programme onto a usb stick by putting the usb stick into the TV….. can you play a recording on the TV and copy it while you watch it using the same method ie leaving the usb stick in the TV ?

InactiveIf what you mean is while playing a recording from the Aura, can a USB attached to the TV copy the recording from the Aura.
Then no.

I’m not clear what you’re trying to do here.
If your TV allows you to record onto a USB stick you should be able to play it directly on your TV. You cannot record your TV screen on the Aura. You might be able to take the USB out of the TV and connect it to the Aura and play the recording. You would have to install a player app (eg. VLC) on the Aura. You cannot move files to/from a USB stick to the Aura.

Most (or perhaps all) UK TV’s that can record, encrypt all their recordings. The recording can then only be played on the specific TV that recorded it. Even using a different TV with the same model number wouldn’t enable payback.

InactiveMy cheap Bush TV can record SD (it’s so cheap it’s HD ready but has no HD tuner). Any recordings made are not encrypted.
