InactiveDo these not copy the same as the old fox model, i see a convert button but unsure of its purpose as i thought you could copy straight to usb stick from the recordings library. thanks

InactiveI may be wrong, but I don’t think it’s possible to save to USB device. I’m not aware of any method within the Aura’s systems. You could get a file management app from Google Play Store – but that won’t help as you still can’t write to the USB drive as you don’t have the permission. The app required to change the permission isn’t available on the Aura. Realistically, the only way to copy files (SD or converted) from the Aura appears to be by FTP to a PC on the same network. That can also be problematic. I find that only works (occasionally) for me on a wired, not WiFi, connection.

InactiveThanks for replies, it seems a step backwards for Humax as i had no problem transferring to memory stick on my old Humax. Will try the pc route. Thanks.

I’ve had problems with other Android devices not wanting to save on micro SD cards. Some apps can manage it because the required permissions app is available. Later versions of Android appear to be making saving to external devices (including add-on micro SD cards) more difficult. Whether the Aura’s step backwards is really an Android problem or a design “feature” by Humax I don’t know. Ultimately it is a Humax design problem with the Aura.
