InactiveHello All, A few years ago we were LG dealers and somehow we ended up with a delivery of Humax freeview recorders. All I remember is they were very low in height. I’m after one, does anyone know the model, thanks. They really were slim, just a little taller than the 2.5 drive in it. Thanks.

InactiveDo you really mean a 2.5 inch drive? They are only about 1/4 inch thick.
But even if you meant a 3.25 inch drive, that’s still pretty damn slimline.

InactiveMy 9300t would have been around 2.5″ tall (I’d think, from memory). I got mine in 2011 and I think they were around quite a few years before that so might be too old for what you are thinking of.

ParticipantLater HDR-1800T models are reported to have a 2.5″ drive but the same case is used as the HDR-2000T which is 50mm high. The more recent FVP-4000T and the current FVP-5000T have cases that are 48mm high.

If you’re looking to buy new then look at the Humax Direct website…
…if not new then Ebay is your best bet.

ParticipantI don’t think it was a Humax model. Suspect it may have been one of these.

InactiveI can’t do with smart asses, but you, Graham L Thompson, are the bees knees. As a ex top engineer with LG I cursed people who couldn’t even get the model right. Never mind the make. You are bang on, Thankyou Graham.
Have a good Xmas and sorry to the other who I fed with wrong info, bye all.

I remember this model but for some reason despite the launch blurb it just seemed to fizzle out for some reason. No idea why.
If I remember right LG gave customers free Humax Freeview PVR’s because the late change to mixed Group Of Pictures (GOPS) in the data stream to allow a dynanic switch from interlaced to 1080p25, which on some TV’s disrupted the picture.
