unit does not rspond to remote

    Apologies in advance if this is the wrong section but just joined and couldn’t see a similar issue . I bought a 5000T pvr 4 months ago which worked well until 14 days ago when the unit failed to respond to the remote. Changed batteries in remote and still failed. But if the unit is switched on manually from standby and i wait anything from 5 to 15 minutes the unit then responds to the remote for about an hour and then fails again. Have had lengthy (and mostly good) exchanges with Humax customer support for several days until they diagnosed a software fault and sent a replacement unit. This had exactly the same fault and now no reply from Humax. Any ideas?

    It’s not unkwown for a remote to chage the infra red code set from the default of one.

    Try setting mode 1 as per the faq’s
