    Hi

I have just bought a FVP 4000T to replace a BT DTR 1000 Youview.

This was in order to record more channels.

Question. Is it possible to run both these units on one Ariel and one Ethernet to supply one smart TV? They both work individually on the HDMI cable but I have not tried them together, At present both remotes work both recorders.I think I may have to mask the recorder IR receiver when not in use.

Anybody tried it? All info appreciated.

You can change the remote code on the FVP 4000T so they do not interfere see FAQ

You can loop thru’ the aerial connection from one unit to other, bear in mind that you may have to change standby settings for loop thru to work.

You can use a simple network switch to connect to your router and then provide more outputs for items you want to connect.

Go to either of Amazon or Ebay and search for “Ethernet switch 5 port”.

Thank you gentlemen for your expertise and willingness to help, it works a treat. I had a spare ethernet splitter from a previous computer. What an asset this site is Regards chaser
