InactiveMy HD FOX T2 can no longer run the TV portal. When you press the TV Portal button an error message comes up “An error occurred whilst launching the application https://www.humaxportal.com/”.
I’ve tried resetting to default and then re-setting up, I’ve checked out the network connection but still does not work. S/W version is 1.02.29.
Any suggestions ??

ModeratorAs per the other thread you posted to, Humax are aware and are investigating.

ParticipantFour devices all connected to same network switch, hardwired to router.
First HDR FOX T2 (1:02:29) Portal opens OK. Youtube screen loads OK. Attempting to play a video results in endless buffering icon.
Second HDR FOX T2 (1:02:32) Attempting to load portal gives following error message
An error occurred whilst launching https://www.humaxtvportal.com/
OK gets rid of message
Exit required to allow box to respond to the remote control.
HDR1000s and LG Bluray player – Youtube working as normal.

Tried updating the system and still no joy, should have read this thread first.
I get the same message – An error occurred whilst launching https://www.humaxtvportal.com/ and then it locks my remote out. I have to reboot the system for the remote to work.
I’ve also noticed that I get an “UPDATE” message appear on the unit when shutting down or starting up.
Not sure if all of the above helps.

Spanner

The UPDATE message is normal. If you press exit does it not return the box to normal working (exit from the portal) ?
I can’t check at the moment as my HD FOX T2 is on loan.
To summarise
HDR-FOX T2 boxes (Twin Tuner boxes) on latest firmware appear to work 100%
HD-FOX T2 (single tuner box recording to external hard disk), do not.
All I can say is Humax are aware as posted by Barry.

Hello and thanks for the reply and info
Just tried “exit” and this returns the handset to full function. Portal must have been running in the background.
Haven’t got a external hard disc connected, just the Humax Wi-Fi USB stick.
We’ll sit tight and wait to see what happens.
Cheers … Spanner

You are welcome.
The same condition existed on HDRFOX-T2 boxes on some firmware versions other than the latest. It took a while to figure the box was still locked into the not working portal (no clue on the screen).

InactiveI have two HD-Fox T2 boxes and have experienced the same problem as other owners of this device when trying to access TV Portal. I conclude that it is a problem with Humax and not the equipment itself as everything else works OK. I have emailed Humax support and as yet not received a reply, I hope they will solve this issue.

That’s interesting
Polite message to the Humax team ….. Any chance of an update, with our working hours, we’ve come to rely on our little Humax device and its Portal feature. Great bit of equipment
(When they work)

ParticipantSorry to give you possibly bad news.
The newer HDR FOX T2 boxes have a later version 3 firmware upgrade. This restores the portal and other services. I have no idea if the HD FOX T2 will get the update. There is a way to persuade the box to be able to use the new software (see the threads on Hummy.TV). Unless you have the expertise I would not recommend the rather drastic fix.
Best advice is complain to Humax, if they get swamped by complaints they might fix it.
The issue is not technical (I guess), it’s purely resource priority based.

Thanks for the reply …. Looks if I’ll have to throw it in the bin then ( Sorry I mean responsibly dispose of it at s local authority waste and recycle centre) Don’t think I’ll replace it with another Humax device though

InactiveHumax HD-FOX T2. Software KZTFT 1.02.29. Portal working normally with BBC iPlayer, You Tube etc. available until 2nd September 2014. After retune on 3rd September 2014 with channel reshuffle, portal now showing error “An error occurred whilst launching the application https://www.humaxportal.com/”. and nothing happens except I feel it is running in the background and needs an ‘exit’ to move on and get back to any other operation.
Router reporting ‘connected’ but no access to these services.
