    hi I have a foxsat HDR and I would like to transfer content to a hdr-1100s.

    Can I use a normal flash memory stick? Fro what I read films and HD wont transfer is this right?

    Can I have replies in laymens terms please as I’m not too tech savvy!!!

    HD won’t transfer because the recordings are encrypted. SD will but the FAT32 file system that the box can use has a maximum file size of 4GB. Most films should be smaller than 4GB unless they are very long (Like Gone With The Wind). If you install the custom firmware then you can copy any length SD recording direct to a PC without using USB at all.
