InactiveFinally there has been some news about the system update that was supposed to be rolled out in January. The test software build is hoped for next month with some members being offered testing first before rollout. Fingers crossed that there will be no more delays & more importantly that this latest update will address each of the known faults & also not cause new issues as most of the previous updates have.

InactiveA known issue is the box just restarting on its own isn’t it?
This happens daily a few times to me and is so annoying.
I will be just watching something then i hear a ‘dink’ kinda noise, then it just all goes off, then i get the restarting logo.
This sometimes happens to my box a couple of times a day, if it happens during watching a recording, it then always restarts from the start and now were it was up to.
I did ask humax about this and they suggest a reset first, which didn’t fix it, then they suggested there was a new update to their freeview app which should sort it, i verified it was the new version and was still doing it.

humax have been giving various timeframes since last year. one can never rely on them. & the previous updates have not solved the issues they said they would (&caused new issues). all difficult.

InactiveDo all the systen updates happen automqatically?
I have had mine about three years and have never been aware of any updates happening, and I can’t find out which version I have now.
I’ve also had a few problems lately, with it doing its own thing whenever it feels like.
If all I’ve got to do is to wait for an update happening automatically in a few weeks then I can sit here and just hope the that the new update cures a lot of the stuff now happening. Or will I have to do something?
Thanks in advance

The Aura has not had any major updates since August 2021.
To check press the Freeview button, click on Settings> Freeview Play Preferences> System Information.
There have been small incremental updates to the Freeview app to cure a problem the Aura was having with blank screens and audio dropouts on some channels on a certain multiplex.
The rumoured update is to my knowledge an upgrade to the Android 12 system.
This may not address the issues that the Aura suffers from regarding it’s own operating system, but we will see
when and if Humax get around to releasing it.

InactiveI think in the past they’re have been beta testers and i don’t think there’s been anyone even say they have been asked to test it, unless I’m wrong?
It would probably still be a while even when people do start testing it.
Unless they are testing this one internally, instead of doing for beta testers?

InactiveFrom my recent experience with Humax Support I honestly don’t think they have any idea how to rectify these problems and are continuing to suggest re boots and tune in a hope we give up asking
