With my old humax I could plug an A-B usb cable from the humax to my laptop then use some graphical software (probably obtained via from this forum)that transferred the *.ts recordings to the laptop. It was a bit slow but it worked fine.

Now I have ‘upgraded’ to a DTR T1010 instead.

Can I perfrom the same magic with this one?

ie how can I transfer recordings to a PC?

I hear horror stories of having to take the hard drive out- is this true with a more modern machine?

(I never record in HD as my TV doesn’t really display HD)
