InactiveHi
Just started using a power monitor. My PVR 9200T on standby registers less than 1watt consumption. However, if there are any recordings scheduled, the standby consumption leaps up to 24watts.
I’ve got the latest firmware. Not very green? Anyone else noticed this?
Cheers
Chris

ModeratorDoes this happen only if your 9200 is within 15 minutes of the next scheduled recording?

ParticipantPage 79 of the manual says:
Power Consumption:
Operation Max 28W
Standby Max 11W
So consider yourself lucky if it only consumes 1W in standby… I’ve never had it less than 6W in standby when I measured this a long time ago… Back in the days of the 9200T, low power consumption wasn’t a (legal) requirement.
At 24W, it must have powered on 15 mins before a timer recording, to download the EPG and watch out for change time and start flags…

InactiveIt’s not within 15 mins of a recording. You can hear it spin up the HDD when it’s 15 mins from a recording.
The standby consumption seems to vary a lot from a few watts. I just thought it odd that it’s taking 24w in standby even when the HDD is powered down. Mine shows 24w whe powered on.
Cheers

InactiveI have been checking my consumption on 4000T recorder
I have it set up on economy which is supposed to have a consumption of 0.5watt
However I find that when checking between 1200hrs and 1400hrs with no recordings scheduled until 21.00hrs on stay
I record the followings
Volt = 232v. Current o.123 amp wattage =15.8watt pf=0.56
I wonder if the quoted figure was measured at the 12v input or as I have done input of the mains adapter

You have posted in the 9200T section of the forum rather than the FVP-4000T/5000T section: Admin could the post be moved. Do you have remote recording or the network server on as they will stop the box going into full standby whilst active?
