Using the box remote control turn up the volume level to near max.
I had this problem. I found out that each channel on the humax box has its own volume. Use your humax remote to turn up the volume on channels with no sound.

SD channels can use the remote to alter the volume. It has no effect on HD channels which use a different audio codec (AAC). SD ones use mpeg1 layer 2 audio (MP2).
