InactiveGood evening,
I switched my fvp-4000t on this evening. It briefly flashed up a message which I did not have time to read. On looking at the software version, it has a new version 1.01.34, dated 6th September 2016. I can find no reference to this release anywhere. The last release (1.01.31) dated 5th August still appears on the Humax support web site as the most recent. Can anyone shed any light on this release? I wonder if it is a bug fix release, as I have not (as yet) found any new features in the user interface.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

There are improvements in the DLNA area though still work to be done.
Important:
This version should address the HDD not be detected on boot, ie no recordings displayed….please update this thread if you encounter this issue specifically with this release.

InactiveJust back from hols and my box still showing vers 31 – although bizarrely whilst away, my box no longer shows the recordings folder over DLNA although it did 10 days ago – very strange.
The 4000t is certainly very unpredictable !!

Hi Barry, I’m not sure if this is what you meant but…
I am using the latest firmware 1.01.34 and have found the following.
Yesterday I was unable to wake the box until I unplugged it from the socket. This is the first time I have had this particular problem.
I have mapped two network drives, Download and Recordings.
Today, after switching the box on, I was unable to connect to the network drives until I went into the recordings on the box and played one of the items.
I have Samba server running but not FTP.
Most days I am able to connect to the network drives prior to turning the box on. This was also the case before the latest update.

InactiveStill getting random reboots can happen just watching TV and recordings as well as watching files via USB.

ModeratorHumax have asked me to publish the following for those who are having issues with this version, see note at end for more detail re submitting answers:
In order for us to narrow down the root cause, it would be helpful to know the members’ viewing patterns.
Would it be possible to know following questions from members?
1. How many hours do you watch per day, or week?
2. When do you watch the most during the day, or week?
3. When powering on the STB, do you use remote power button or one on the box?
4. When do you observe issues/problems most?
5. How many hours do you record per day, or week?
6. Whilst recording, do you generally watch something or turn it off (standby)?
7. MAC address of the STB.
This would help us to investigate further the issues.
Note: Do not answer on open forum, but PM me and I’ll provide an email address for you to send answers directly to Humax Towers.
