InactiveI wonder if anyone can help? I bought a Humax Foxsat 6 months ago, second hand. I have been trying to access ITV player but it says it is unavailable. I can get BBC player. I know it is an older machine and the software is HPRSFCI 1.00.21 and it says Update date 27 July 2012. Is there anyway I can update to get ITV player? Thank you in for any advice

InactiveDo you have a Scottish postcode by any chance?

InactiveIs it possible that the previous owner set it up with a Scottish postcode ?
If so, you need to change it to your postcode. ITV player is not available to viewers with a Scottish postcode. However, the Humax box will accept any valid UK code. The code is used to give you the correct regional programmes (or the region that you want, if it is not actally where you live).
Which BBC and ITV region do you get on 101 and 103 ? That should give you a clue.
Hope this helps.

InactiveHi Blueberryman. The previous owner lived in the Staffordshire are too. I had a man come to install the Sat dish as I hadn’t got one, he put our post code in. I have seen our post code in the settings. We get West Midlands region for 101 and 103.

InactiveHi Bev, I have not used the Foxsat HDR for a few years, but I seem ro remember that there are two ways to get into ITV Player…
First method is simply to Go to channel 903.
Second method is to go to “Guide”, then “On Demand”, then “ITV Player”.
I vaguely remember that one of these options worked, while the other was unreliable.
If you are still stuck tomorrow, friend of mine uses a Foxsat hdr, I will ask them how they get into ITV player ( if they can !).

InactiveHi Blueberryman. I have tried both methods that you describe but to no avail. It comes up ITV player not available. Please try later. Then a code 10001, I think it is. Can’t look now because the old man is watching Television lol. I would be very grateful if you could ask your friend tomorrow.

InactiveHi Bev, I tried on my neighbour’s box this morning, and get exactly the same error message as you. Looks to me like ITV player is no longer supported on the Foxsat HDR. It works fine on my HDR 1000S.
Can anyone else help Bev ? I have run out of ideas…..

ParticipantIt’s working OK on my Foxsat-hdr, still the usual very poor quality. Accessed by 903.

InactiveHi Graham, yes, it worked on mine too, but that was a few years ago before I got my 1000S.
If yours works now, that rules out my theory that it might no longer be supported on Foxsat.
Does the old trick still work ? Channel 999 then pressing green green blue green green still work ? (May have been green blue green blue green ? Memory not as good as it was

Not heard of that one. There are however two hidden menus accessed by Red Green Yellow Blue Green Yellow Blue. One of these is used to set up diseqc/usals for multiple satellites.

InactiveHi Blueberryman and grahamlthompson. Thank you both very much for your help. I tried it this morning, cant get anything by going through guide but if I go to channel 903 then it now appears albeit very slow to load and also disappointed that there are no sub-titles on there.Once again thank you and I know who to come to with my next queries lol
