I recently purchased the above device around 2 weeks ago from a branch of Richer Sounds.

I have the machine connected to my Onkyo amp TXNR 717 and outputting to a Hitachi Plasma.

The Humax box has from day one had a slight screen flicker which appears to be intermittent. The screen flicker is very slight but enough for you to notice a difference especially when on an HD channel. Sometimes it is there when you start the device, sometimes appears during operation and sometimes does not appear at all during operation. It is best viewed when you put the menu on and you can actually see the menu shake slightly, when not happening the menu picture quality is excellent.

I have various other AV equipment connected to my amp with no similar problems (GoFlex Streamer, Xbox, Sony BD player, Nintendo Wii)

Software version is currently at 1.02.29

I have tried over the last few weeks various different set ups to see if this resolves the problem:

1.       Move Humax box away from Amp – if it was interference based

2.       Changed input on Amp to select different HDMI socket for Humax Box

3.       Changed HDMI cables

4.       Directly plugged Humax box into Plasma

5.       Updated Software to latest version

I think I have exhausted all options.

Please can you tell me if I should try something else or if it is faulty and return for another?
