InactiveTry a freesat tune.

InactiveSurely there’s a more straightforward way than getting them all back then having to re-edit?

InactiveSo exactly how eould you specify the function? You delete channels now you want an undelete – it would take < 5 mins to get back to where you want.

InactiveOkay don’t get stroppy! I had no idea they were ‘deleted’ that’s an even crappier system than I thought. I had supposed they were just hidden so you didn’t have to wade through all the trash.

Might be easier to restore your sister to her own place?

InactiveI was not being stroppy – from a tech point of view deleted channels are just hidden – otherwise the nightly automated freesat scan would re-add them. There is no undelete function however – you are the first to ask. I do understand that changing sisters is not an option.

InactiveThanks, all restored – now to ask her which channels she wants. Think I might get her own box for Christmas!

Install the custom firmware and use a laptop etc to view the epg.

Your sister can view a different epg line up to you on a PC, tablet smartphone etc if your box is networked. You can also hide/unhide channels at will on the box. If she changes her mind no problem

InactiveThanks Graham – is v4.0.7 the latest firmware?
Also are there any risks associated with installing it?

No 4.0.8 is latest. No risks, afaik no one has bricked there box. It sits on top of of the Humaax software so adds capabilities. Apart from the message you see on the box display at boot the box works the same as it always did. The extra capability you only see on a networked computer.

No risks really. afaik not a single user has bricked his box. The software adds to the box capability without altering the way the Humax software works. Apart from the message you get at boot and the fact that you can see channels you wouldn’t normally see.
It alters some of the data files that the box uses like the channel list , the reservation file etc. The box undoes some of these during housekeeping. The box puts them back at first boot.
It’s very easy to remove it completely assuming of course the box still works.
