I have been away from a while and not used my Humux HDR T2000 500Gb and I assumed the remote just needed battery replacement but putting new ones and within hours the remote died again, I assumed perhaps my batteries were expired so I went to the shop and bought new sets of Duracells and they didn’t last a day. I’ve been through 6 pairs of batteries in a week, its so bizarre. I contacted Humuxdigital and they haven’t been very helpful as they don’t seem to have had similar issues. It’s frustrating and wondering if there is anyone else with this issue.

    * while I still have your attention, if your HDR is extremely noisy like mine, I worked out a trick. Sit it on ear foam plugs, works perfectly.

Does it work OK when the batteries are not flat?

I’m thinking ‘stuck key’. Point a digital camera at the ‘business end’ and if you can see a purple light there all the time, that’s what is flattening your batteries.

It should only flicker purple when you press a button.
