    Hi all,

I’m new here, I had a look around last week and saw that there was a simple solution to streaming recordings around my house.

I bought a second hand Foxsat HDR and installed Raydon’s firmware. The instructions were clear and it went in very easily. I installed media tomb and a few other bits and bobs.

I started my raspberry pi running the current version of Raspbmc, pointed it at the foxsat IP address and it picked up the server automatically.

A few films were still on the PVR from the previous owner, so I tested by streaming James Bond from the Foxsat upstairs to the tv downstairs. I even set it to record a couple of shows via the web interface. All in the space of an hour.

I’d like to thank some people.

Everyone on these forums: You are friendly and helpful. You pointed me in the right direction. (I anticipate that with feedback, feature requests and bug reports, many of you have helped firmware development.)

Raydon: Thanks go to you and everyone else who worked on this firmware. I guess there are many many hours put into this code, so to release it is much appreciated. Even the documentation seems clear and complete.

On the Pi side, obvious thanks to the developers of the hardware, and especially to Sam Nazarko and all who developed Raspbmc.

I’m used to having a fight getting hardware to do what I want but this was fantastically easy.

If I’ve missed anyone, I apologise. Great work everyone.
