InactiveI am having a problem with some DVB videos I’ve captured with a TV card and trying to copy them to my Foxsat HDR using Raydon’s tool.
If I run the tool on the cut files (trimmed with VideoRedo), it works fine and the output plays back on the HDR but there is no sound.
Previously when this has happened, I’ve put the videos through tsMuxer before HDR and it solves the problem. I’ve tried that with these files, and then the just don’t play on the HDR. When I press play, the screen goes blank for a couple of seconds and then continues playing the live TV channel.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Gary

ParticipantAre these from Freeview-HD ?. If so the HDR doesn’t have aac audio decoding, you will have to recode the audio to MP2 or ac3 first.

InactiveHi Graham,
Thanks for this. The videos are from satellite broadcasts. I’ve created others from the same TV channel without any problems.

Use Medianinfo to analyse the file content and post the tree view to see if there is any clue.

InactiveHi Graham,
Thanks for this, and sorry for the delay in replying – busy couple of days at work.
I’m not sure if you wanted me to post the info for the original or the cut files, so here’s both!
Thanks for your help,
Gary

ParticipantNot much of a clue there. While replaying the file on the Foxsat try pressing the audio button on the remote and selecting one of the alternate audio tracks.

ParticipantAV2HDR will only process one audio stream when it remuxes. Which one are you selecting ? It should be the second (AC-3), as the first is additional dialog only.

InactiveThanks Graham & Raydon.
Graham – I can’t play the video for long enough to look at audio tracks. When I choose it on the Foxsat, the screen goes blank for about 2 seconds and then it continues playing live TV.
Raydon – I’m selecting the AC3 track.
To clarify – the original video file is cut with VideoRedo. If I process that output straight to the HVR using AV2HDR, it plays, but there is no sound. If I run the cut video through tsMuxer, it won’t play at all (on the Foxsat – it’s fine on the PC). I’ve even tried using tsMuxer first before cutting with VideoRedo but that doesn’t play on the Foxsat either.

ParticipantCan you upload a small clip somewhere of VideoRedo’s output ?

InactiveHi Raydon,
Thanks for getting back to me. I’ve uploaded a 1-minute clip of one of the problematic videos (75Mb) here:

ParticipantHi Gary,
I ran the sample you uploaded through tsMuxeR GUI 1.10.6 before processing with AV2HDR 1.6. It played back perfectly on my HDR. Am I missing something ?
regards
raydon
