My pvr 9150t showed an display of no signal when i turned it on and it would not turn to standby so i turned it off on the switch on the back. When i turned it back on the fan noise was really loud and only one green light came on the front display by the standby light.

nothing was displayed on the screen.

I believe i have the current correct software uploaded (up loaded in Dec 2011).

I have turned it off and unplugged the aerial and turned on again but only the same green light come on and no display on screen.

I have down as above and turned on with standby button pressed in but same problem.

any ideas of what to try or is it dead?

    thanks

I don’t immediately recognise the symptoms. If the box is out of warranty, I would try opening the box and disconnecting the connections to the hard drive. If it will now boot then formatting the disk in a PC will probably resolve the problem.

Hi, I have a similar problem.

Turned my PVR9150T box on the other day. The fan makes a noise, the screen stays black and then for a fraction of a second something saying ‘BBC 1 – No Signal’ pops up and then the box turns restarts automatically and repeats the same process, over and over again. None of the buttons on the box or remote work, so I can’t even get into the menu to do a factory reset. Any ideas? Did you end up fixing your box Gnor?

    Regards, Dan.

Try turning the Humax off, disconnect the aerial and then start it up without the aerial. Does this allow you to do a reset to default settings?
