When I switch on my digital set top box it says “please wait” then it shows “Loader Version a4.39” and a yellow bar that shows it loading to 100% it then returns to “please wait” and continually tries to load the version a4.39.

I have connected to my PC and updated manually but it still does the same.

Can you help with this problem?

    Welcome to the Forum :-)

a4.39 is the loader version, the software version should be something like 1.00.26.

Check your PM’s (top right of forum) I have access to a small app that might help.

Hi – does anyone know how to plug in the default code 0000 if the handset isn’t working (or doesn’t appear to be)? I’ve tried to update manually using the buttons on the front of my 9150T but can’t get any further when I have to put in the code since there aren’t any numbers on the front of the recorder, only arrows,OK, etc.

    Thanks

Hi, I have a similar issue. Tried updating the software and still get Please Wait…. forever. I note that there may be a possible solution on this thread. Any help gratefully received.

You could try uploading a default file which I can provide.

Send to the email address you registered with?

Hi, I have a 9150T, just like vinylrulesok, it just keeps going round in circles, “loading” then “please wait”, it had been fine until we had a power cut, now it will not start, have tried removing the aerial, switching on and pressing the menu button, nothing happened, also tried holding standby button and turning on, still nothing,

any idea’s please, keep it simple if poss please,

Assuming the Humax is out of warranty, try opening the case and remove the lead to the hard drive. If the box will now boot normally then the hard drive needs formatting in a PC.

Hi Martin, sorry for the long delay, have not been well, tried unplugging the hard drive, it boots ok, I did manage to get hold of a lead to connect it to my pc, tried running the humaxdiag and humaxcheck, did get them to run eventually, but not sure how to run any of the options, as there was a cross linked file, not sure if it would help though, can I save any programs on the drive ?, how do I format the drive with my pc.

    Thanks

how do I format the drive with my pc.

Before formatting the disk, I suggest trying humaxrw with the new at version 1.15 option -Z which deletes the file that saves the EPG data. If that doesn’t help the format the disk Here is a link to formatting a hard drive Link to article on formatting. Make sure you format the Humax drive not the system disk.

    Martin,

sorry have been tied up for a while, I tried option -Z, but it is still the same, but I can get a list of programs that I have recorded, so I will copy them to another drive, and then format the original drive, hope that will get it going again.

    Thanks for all your help

    Bobr :-)
