InactiveI have had my HDR 2000T unit for 6 months. A few days ago the button on the Humax remote control to select PVR control stopped working and the Humax remote control could only be used as a TV remote
I took the batteries out of the remote and put them back in. I switched power off and on to both the HDR 2000T and the TV. Finally I followed the manual instructions to re-program my remote with my Samsung TV code. At this point the select PVR control worked again. It remained working as an HDR 2000T remote until I pressed the button to control select TV control whereupon the button control to select PVR control stopped working again. I have now had three days of this so I found this forum in the hope of getting some help.
All advice gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

ParticipantHi welcome to the forum. Try removing the batteries and then holding down one of the buttons to discharge any stored energy (effectively forcing a reset), before replacing them.

InactiveGraham thanks for the response. It worked.
I have to say I am underwhelmed by what is my first purchase of a Humax product. A simple trawl through this forum shows a multitude of similar problems related to their remote’s. Having purchased multiple items over the years from the likes of Sony, Samsung and Sanyo etc it has been demonstrated to me that it is perfectly possible to manufacture a totally reliable remote unit. Interestingly I also noticed several people complaining of no sound when taking the HDR2000T out of standby, which is fixed by cycling power on the unit. A fellow poster put this down to HDMI handshaking issues. This is something I also experience every few weeks.
I bought the unit based on the strength of very good online reviews which it seems were written at the time of the products launch. Based on my experience of 6 months as a user I don’t think I would buy Humax again, being someone who prizes reliability as much as functionality.
