I bought my mother a 500gb humax HDR just over a year ago and it worked fine up until the last few months. 2 or 3 months back it started freezing whenever it had been switched on. The TV still works but the PVR is completely locked up and needs to be switched off. Once it comes back up, it works for a bit then freezes again on a channel change.
It’s running the latest firmware.
Any ideas?

WElcome to the forum. Did the Foxsat come with a 2 yr warranty if so you should contact the supplier. Before you do make a note of the recording schedule and carry out a reset to Factory Defaults.
Menu/setup/factory reset (default password 0000). Before you ask it won’t delete your recordings. Any changes you have made to preferences (eg Volume) will need restoring.
Thanks for the reply. Yes it should have the 2 year warranty and I checked the amazon confirmation email – I bought it on the 30/12/2010 so it’ll still be covered.
I’ll try the default reset this weekend when I visit her.
