    Hi There,

I have had my PVR9300T for about 18 months now and overall have absolutely loved it. I had a problem with freezing channels which was sorted through an over the air update. However within the last 3 weeks my machine has just stopped recording both programmed recordings and manual recordings when you are on the channel and just press record. – It was like this for 14 days and then just suddenly started working again for about 4 days and then yesterday failed to record some pre-set programmes. Not sure what to do – Can anyone help?

Many thanks for any help you can offer me.

    Welcome to the Forum :-)

Apologises for the delay in response.

If you have latest software uploaded 1.00.26, and are sure you are tuned to one transmitter, then it appears you might have a HDD problem. Next to try would be a format, once you have watched all recordings that are important to you.

I agree that Barry’s advice is likely to be the only way to get things working again.

Thanks for the advice – how would I know if I have latest software uploaded 1.00.26?

    Hi Barry

I have just tried that and it does say software version UPTTF 1.00.26 – Sorry if this sounds naive but how would I know if it is tuned to one transmitter? If it is tuned to one transmitter is there anyway that I can save some of the recorded programmes before formatting?

    Really appreciate the help.

Hi Barry and Martin thanks for all the help – PVR has now just deleted all saved programmes and is not pausing or recording at all so I will do a format and hope that helps.

Just realised I don’t know how to do a format I thought that it would be in the menu somewhere but all I can see is default setting which I don’t think is the same.

It is under the HDD Control menu item in (I think) the Record section; default password is 0000.

Thanks Martin – In your experience does doing this enable all the functions to work normally again?

In about 90% of the cases yes; if it doesn’t then the hard drive will need replacing.
