    Each time the Humax has been set to record a programme, the programme will show on the TV whilst recording and take over any programme that we had been watching at the time. It is then impossible to get back to the programme previously being watched.

    Hope this makes sense – would really like to find a solution. Thank you.

    Hi welcome to the forum.

    First thing we need to know is how many coax cables have you connected to the box.

    Look round the back you should have two on the outer connections with nothing connected to the inner connection.

    If you only have one cable it should be connected to tuner 1 in and you should have a short loop cable connecting tuner 1 out to tuner 2 in.

    This will give you two tuner working with some restrictions.

    Can you check and post what you find ?

    Thank you for your reply. I have two cables on the back – one in the 1in socket and one in the 2in socket. Is this what you mean? Nothing in the out socket.

    That’s what I meant. Next make a note of your recording schedule and then do a reset to factory defaults. Look for the two cables found message during the reset.

    Post if you get one or two cables found.
