Problematic recordings

    Hi I,m new to the forum and in need of help with my humax aura , when I try to play recordings in doesn’t seem to want to play, some times with sound but most times I need to switch off a few times and the it plays the recording it shouldn’t be that difficult should it ,I would be grateful of any suggestion

    Assuming you are using a TV for the sound.

    Try changing the digital audio out setting to stereo. The recordings you are having issues with may have Dolby Digital 5.1 audio.

    Thanks for reply, the humax is going through denon AVR x2200 from there on to a Sony kd48a9

    So do you use the speakers connected to the AVR and not use the TV sound ?

    The sound comes from av ,when I watch tv through humax the sound is fine , it’s just a few times when playing recordings the main issue is getting it to play recordings the screen goes blank you switch off twice and then it plays

    Why when I try to play recordings on my aura do I need to switch off and on before it plays recordings is their a fault with software?

    Not on mine all you should need to do is click OK on a recording and it should playback

    Thanks for reply, done that and it still won’t work ,when it works it’s great but when it doesn’t it’s a pain

    What is the date of the software in Freeview Play Preference – System Information ?

    The date is jan 14, and firmware is 00.09.14
