ParticipantI have been trying to change the box code on my Aura from the default of one so that I can operate it alongside another Humax box. I am following the instructions in Barry’s FAQ and going to Settings> Freeview Play preferences> Box assigning> then pressing 0 and OK together for 5 seconds and then inputting a number in the range 2-6. The box acknowledges it has received the request and after 20s reboots. However when the box restarts, the code on the remote has changed but the code on the box is unchanged. What am I doing wrong or what else can I do?

InactiveI must have had a similar problem. I ended up changing the box codes for my other Humaxes – made more complicated because I’ve had to replace the other remotes with One for All devices. It’s the complexity of getting the One for Alls working that makes me think there must have been a problem changing the Aura’s code.
I’m assuming you can’t change the remote code for the other Humax.
I suppose one solution that might work is to pair the remote via Bluetooth and cover the IR sender on the remote and the receiver on the Aura- if you can find them!

Correct.

I know where the sensor is on the Aura. I might give the Bluetooth a try but the problem isn’t communicating with the box as it is responding as I would expect when changing the remote code; the problem is that the code doesn’t change.

InactiveI got myself slightly confused. It appears as though I was able to change the code on my Aura (it’s possible that the 5000T was the problem!). But the possible solution still stands. If your Aura is stuck on code 1 the chances are that is responding to the other Humax’s remote, and the other Humax could respond to the Aura’s remote. As far as I can tell when using Bluetooth the Aura’s remote doesn’t use IR (based on not being able to see it light up when pointing a mobile phone camera at it). I’m not sure whether the Aura’s IR receiver is still active. If you can block the IR sensor you might be able to use both remotes as you want to.
