How do you set this box to stay on all the time, It shuts itself off at night and then takes an age to reload.

There is a setting for automatic standby – from memory this is two or three hours of remote inactivity.

The age to reload is about 25 seconds and saves about £20 p.a.

and reduces our environmental impact.

These values were for a HDR-1000S, The HB (which I have also) may be slightly longer due to the HardDisk possibly not being present.

There is also an auto on and off setting in the menus which would wake the unit automatically before your normal viewing time.
