InactiveI keep having problems where my unit switches off and back on again when there is no problem with the electricity supply.
There is no pattern to this and it can be about a week before it happens again or it can happen two days running. Very annoying when recording!
I contacted Humax who told me to carry out a factory reset and this seemed to solve the problem until yesterday when it switched off twice. Once in the afternoon and then again late evening

The only difference this time is it turned back on again whereas before it used to stay off.
All the connections are fine etc and the signal quality is 100% on all channels.
Any ideas?

InactiveWell it stopped for a wee while but is happening again!

Last night the picture ‘froze’ before it went into standby.
Has anyone any idea why this is happening? It’s very annoying!

ParticipantA very odd one, one suggestion it may be a HDD problem particulary in the area used for the time shift buffer. Might be an idea to copy off your recordings and try a disk format.

InactiveIgnore this post if your Humax is not network connected.
It is known that a spurious signal on the network, usually coming from an incompatible media server, will cause the Humax to reboot. Trying turning off content sharing on the Humax and see if it helps.

You need a USB drive (formatted EXT3 for files larger than 4GB) unless you want to go down the custom firmware route
which in itself needs a network connection.

Okay thanks Graham.

Should have mentioned that the box will format a drive for you (if I remember correctly
)
