A few weeks ago I started getting intermittent problems in that my HDR Fox T2 would power off and then back on again.

I switched the unit off at the back and for a while it seemed to be okay.

However, a couple of days ago it started turning off again but now it stays off. :(

I switched the unit off at the wall for a few minutes but this hasn’t helped.

The signal strength and quality is perfect so don’t know what can be causing this really annoying problem. Even more so if I am recording something.

There is a green screen (or sometimes just green stripes) when it powers off and back on again which I take it is a ‘handshake’ problem between the PVR and telly?

What, if anything, can be done to rectify this?

I have a Panasonic Viera plasma television.

I’d very much appreciate advice please. Thanks! :)

Can you clarify please “by power off” do you mean the HDR goes into standy or fully powers off.

    Oops sorry!

Should have said it goes into standby.

Is there any pattern to the T2 going into standby or is it just random. Does it power up it’s self?

If no pattern I would try obscuring the IR receiver on the T2 so It cannot receive stray signals – just to determine if this may be a possible cause.

Just cover it with say a piece of cardboard.

I realised how stupid my question is after I posted it!lol

Glad to say everything is okay so must have been a ‘blip’.
