Hi, just looked in FAQ’s and found a thread on it but it does not work on above older model. Anyone have any ideas on how to change code back to 0000.

    TIA John.

Sorry just noticed this has gone in site feedback, issues and problems, and can`t find way to re-direct it to right forum.

    Welcome to the forum :-)

You could try pressing the following sequence of keys:

    Menu

    Setup (might be Installation)

    Status

    STB status

Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, White, and 0 (zero)

If that does not work, I’ll try and get more info tomorrow.

Hi Barry, thanks for the welcome and help, I tried R G Y B W B Y G R as per FAQ`s and also your sequence but no luck.

Its only an old one picked up for 10€s at a car boot so no big deal, don`t struggle with it too much, it is set on Astra and the language was German, but have managed to change that. To get anywhere else it needs a pin code and it is not 0000. I have only used Sky boxes and heard Humax is the best so thought I would give it a try and maybe buy a better one later. :-)

This is the info I received from Humax Towers a moment ago, re my earlier post and your query.

    1. Product is at least 10 years old.

    2. Check they have the RS-101P remote

    3. The sequence you gave them is correct

    a. Make sure they are in the STB STATUS menu (with the h/w, s/w details, etc)

    b. Make sure they press each button firmly (RED, GREEN, YELLOW, BLUE, WHITE, 0) – WHITE is the timer button and it is the number 0

After the above the message “PIN Code is reset <OK>” should appear.

Barry, you are a champion, tried it again and it worked fine, bit of a dodgy zero button, it is now scanning for channels :D

Last update was in Sep 2002 lol, dare risk an update :-)

    regards John
