Hi all,
I’ve had a HDR 1100S for about a month now and have noticed something that seems a bit odd when pausing a live channel.
It seems to skip back a few seconds, play for about half a second and then pause.
I have a recording to better illustrate:
As you can see the live channel had moved on to a different advert, yet when paused it has gone back to the McDonalds advert.
Is this normal?
My HDR-1000s does the same.
I’m assuming that it does this so it pauses at a keyframe.
Ah good, at least it’s not just something wrong with my box.

The live pause works a little differently than other boxes/TV’s etc, it has to delve into the buffer to pause and the buffer always runs a few seconds behind the live tv broadcast. It’s just the way Humax do it. Once in the buffer using the skip button >>| will stop you jumping back to live and missing a few seconds.
