Just switched from Sky…I was surprised that on my HDR1000s, if I’m recording something, I can’t watch an on demand channel. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong (wrong settings, software update needed perhaps?)
No, it’s not normal, as I haven’t had an issue watching On Demand stuff when recording.

I know this sounds like a daft question – you are connected to the Internet via an ethernet cable I suppose and the network connection is working?
As far as I know, all the Humax’s that offer on demand, even those going back 8 years or so allow on demand whilst recording.
Out of interest, is on demand okay when not recording?
Also are you using hdmi and/or scart to view?
Thanks for the replies. I did the software update currently available on the Humax website and that seems to have solved the problem.
Hope this is useful for anyone with similar problems.
