I am getting the dreaded “On demand loading, please wait 1 minute” message on my Humax HB1000S. I’ve read that this is haphazard, so I fished out my identical box out of the back of a cupboard. This connected immediately and various on-demand services (including i-Player) came up. But half the channels aren’t working.

Then I got a notice saying that things will stop working on 30 October (I don’t know if that refers to i-player or to various channels)

I’m a bit wary of doing a software update.

Update an hour later BBC1 and other channels are working now. I suppose the box must have updated over the air. The end of service message is for Iplayer. A pity, cos that was the reason I fished out this box in the first place.
