InactiveI have a Humax box s/n 61 6006621 00026. Within the last week On Demand has ceased to work, it displays ok but when accessing BBC for instance it displays ‘incorrect link’.
I have been through a connection procedure and it sees my ethernet connection as ok but still will not connect.

Inactivere my previous post, I have powered down and restarted both the Humax box and the Hub.

InactivePresumably, as you gave the BBC as a ‘for instance’, and I assume by that you mean iPlayer, none of the other catchup or internet services are working either?

Inactiveyes, correct, none are working, but were.
We had a ‘power out’ last week, could my router have reset ip settings?
If so what settings would work?

InactivePlease post Humax model and confirm you are connected by cable (implied by ethernet).
When rebooting router make sure you wait for the router to fully reboot before rebooting Humax. Set the Humax to ‘Connect Automatically’.
The connection status indicated is to your LAN and not to the internet.
What are the IP settings shown on Humax system info for the connection?

InactiveOK, following your advice to reboot router fully and then reboot Humax, I (miraculously) have connection again!
Many thanks for your input.

InactiveNothing miraculous about it. Leave that for the religious people.
It’s the wonders of modern technology and the power of reboots that does it.
First rule of fault finding. Switch it off ‘at the wall’ and switch it back on again.

I should put my hammer away then?

InactiveI had a similar problem with 2 brand new Humax HDR-1100S 1TB Freesat boxes. Internet was absolutely fine on ethernet and wifi. But no On Demand apps would work except Netflix (which showed that the internet was fine).
Spent considerable time on the phone to Tech Support who recommended restarts, different connections then suggested a broad set of (implausible) explanations (e.g. router blocking sites despite many other devices accessing them fine!). Ended by recommending returning the boxes!!
After extensive trial and error, eliminated problems with the boxes (by trying at a friends house). Internet searches suggested changing the default DNS Server on my router. Changed it to Cloudfare 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 and bingo all worked fine again!
