Hi All,
The addition of On-demand services is a great feature on the 1000s but do we have any news on when to expect 4OD and Channel 5 players? I know that when the box was released it was being advertised as by the end of 2012….not long left now!! Regards.
Unfortunately a press release by Freesat a week or so ago confirmed that 4OD & Channel 5 on demand has been postponed until early 2013.
Announced by Freesat delayed to early 2013 due to CH4 and CH5 requireing additional drm protection on the stream.

Thanks for the reply’s…I think it is a bit of a shame that Freesat cannot be more specific about a release date for these services especially when Freeview are clearly supporting this already…why do I get the feeling that freesat are behind with some of these capabilities, I thought satellite was the way forward!!
