Q1 Doubtful, NOW TV is owned by Sky, they aren’t exactly known for supporting so called competing platforms. :-)

    Q2 – No Way

If you want to subscribe to NOW TV, the subsided NOW TV boxes are very cheap. Note compared to Netflix and Amazon Prime are limited at best to 720p.

Or you can cast Now TV from your smartphone or tablet if you have one to something like a Chromecast dongle plugged into a spare HDMI socket on the TV.

I dont know about other TV manufacturers but NOW TV is available as an app on all my Samsung TVs so I have ditched the boxes.

Also available on Android and Windows 10.

The Now TV app on your BT Youview box is limited in what it offers (no sports for example) though that is due to change in 2019 following a recent agreement between BT and Sky.
